McDowell, Madden & Junghans win heats at Cleveland’s Gobbler!

CLEVELAND, TN (November 20, 2015)-On a cold November night, Dale McDowell, Chris Madden and Chase Junghans all captured 15-lap Heat Race wins on the preliminary night of the 27th Annual Gobbler at Cleveland (Tenn.) Speedway sanctioned by the Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Collins Signs.

In FK Rod Ends Time Trials, Dale McDowell set fast time out of the 30 entrants with a 13.893 second lap. Nine states and Australia were represented out of the cars signed in for the season finale.

In the first Heat Race, Dale McDowell of Chickamauga, Ga. captured the victory over Randy Weaver, Mike Marlar, Riley Hickman and Ray Cook.

The second Heat Race saw Chris Madden of Gray Court, S.C. take the win over Jimmy Owens, Jason Hiett, Derek Ellis and Todd Morrow.

Chase Junghans of Manhattan, Kan. took the win during the third Heat Race while Billy Ogle Jr. finished second while rounding out the top-five transfer cars were Aaron Ridley, Billy Moyer Jr. and Bryan Rowland.

Saturday’s Gobbler 77 finale for the Southern Nationals Bonus Series features the 15-lap B-Main and the 77-lap $10,000-to-win main event. Gates open at 2:00 pm and Racing begins at 5:00 pm.
