SENOIA, Ga. – Mar. 25, 2016 – Jonathan Davenport collected his first career Old Man’s Garage Spring Nationals Series victory on Friday Night at Senoia Raceway taking home $4,000 for the victory.

Davenport of Blairsville, Ga. drove the #116 normally driven by Randy Weaver to the victory and became the 18th different winner in series history. Davenport took the Outlaw Racing Southeast, Stone Land Clearing and Excavating, Mission Transport, A.F. Stone Professional Medical Service and The Bailey Company sponsored Cornett Racing Engines-powered Longhorn Chassis to the victory and became the second different winner in two series events.

The exciting 40-lap feature saw New Track Record holder Chris Madden and outside polesitter Kenny Collins take the field to green with Madden in command early. Madden lead the first 11 circuits until the caution came out as Shanon Buckingham spun on the front stretch. On the restart, Madden got shuffled to the top and surrendered the lead to Collins and Collins would lead lap 12. Davenport would grab the lead on lap 13 from Collins and lead until Madden would grab the top spot back on lap 17. Madden and Davenport would work their way around lapped traffic and Davenport would again gain control of the lead and on the 26th lap and hold the spot until the finish. Two more cautions slowed the event on lap 16 and lap 31 for David Payne coming to a stop.

The Old Man’s Garage Spring Nationals Series will be back in action Saturday Night for a 50-lap $6,000-to-win event at the Senoia Raceway to wrap up the Spring Nationals weekend visits.
