Two Nights Of Racing Set For Macon IL Speedway

Macon SpeedwayThursday H&R 100 To Be Followed By 6 Division Show Saturday

Macon Speedway, located in Macon, IL, will be packed with fans and competitors this coming Thursday, July 7 for the 36th annual Herald & Review 100.  Joining the Summer Nationals Late Models will be the Billingsley Towing Modifieds running in the Summit Nationals as well as the B-Mod class.  Thursday, though, won’t be the only day Macon Speedway will see great racing this week.  The track will be back open on Saturday for a full six division show.

Thursday’s schedule will include the 100-lap feature event for the UMP Summer National Late Models, sponsored by the Herald & Review.  The race carries a rich history at Macon Speedway and is a can’t miss for fans across the Midwest, year-after-year.  An outstanding field of Billingsley Towing UMP Modifieds will be on hand racing for track points in addition to Summit National Modified points.  The B-Mod division is also on the docket.

After a short turnaround, the track will be back open on Saturday, July 9 for a full six division show.  Racing Saturday will be the UMP Pro Late Models, Billingsley Towing Modifieds, B-Mods, POWRi/Illini D-II Midgets, Street Stocks, and Hornets.  Saturday will also be the date for the Hall Of Fame Drivers Reunion and CEFCU Kid’s Club.

On Thursday, July 7, pits open at 3:00, grandstands at 4:00, hotlaps begin at 6:00, qualifying at 6:30, and racing will take the green at 7:00.  Grandstand admission is $25 for adults and $5 for kids 11 and under.

On Saturday, July 9, pits will open at 4:00, grandstands at 5:00, competitor pill draw ends at 5:50, hotlaps begin at 6:00, and racing will take the green at 7:00.  Grandstand admission Saturday will be $12 for adults and free for kids 11 and under.

Macon Speedway is located nine miles south of Decatur on U.S. 51, then 0.6 miles west on Andrews Street and south to 205 N. Wiles. Macon Speedway hosts racing every Saturday night, plus many weeknight specials.
