WAYCROSS, GA (August 16, 2016) – The 24th Annual COMP Cams Topless 100 – presented by Crop Production Services – set for this weekend at Batesville Motor Speedway has been canceled. With the forecast for continued rain throughout the week on an already heavily saturated track and facility, Speedway and Series officials have been forced to cancel the event.
“We are very disappointed to have to cancel the event,” said Mooney Starr, promoter of Batesville Motor Speedway. “We have had over six inches of rain over the past three days and the forecast shows more rain throughout the week. We feel that it is best to make this decision early for the benefit of our racers and fans,” Starr added.
Without a suitable weekend as a makeup date, the 24th version of the $40,000-to-win crown jewel event won’t be rescheduled. Anyone who purchased advanced tickets to the COMP Cams Topless 100 – presented by Crop Production Services will receive a refund. Please contact the Speedway Office after 10:00am CDT beginning Wednesday, August 17th at: (870) 251-0011.
