From Michael Despain – Glasgow, KY-August 28, 2016 (www.americanmodifiedseries.com)- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series returns to action with a three-night racing extravaganza in the Land of Lincoln as the tour will visit Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, IL on Friday September 2 ($3,000 to win), Fairbury’s American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, IL Saturday September 3 ($10,000 to win), and Spoon River Speedway in Canton, IL Sunday September 4 ($5,000 to win)

The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will begin the weekend on Friday September 2 at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, IL with the tour in action in a complete program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B Mains, and a 35 lap, $3,000 to win/$225 to start A-Main event. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in action at Farmer City Raceway on Friday September 2 will be the track’s Super Late Models racing for $5,000 to win, plus action for Pro Late Models, Street Stocks, and Hornets. Activities at Farmcer City on September 2 will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 6:00 p.m., with practice set to begin at 6:30, followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing. All times listed are CDT. Ticket prices at Farmer City Raceway on Friday September 2 in the general admission area will be $20, while a pit pass will be $30. Entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is $50. Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series A-Main Payout at Farmer City Raceway September 2: 1st- $3,000, 2nd-$1,500, 3rd- $750, 4th- $600, 5th- $550, 6th- $500, 7th- $450, 8th-$400, 9th- $350, 10th- $325, 11th-$300, 12th-$275, 13th-$260, 14th- $240, 15th- $225, 16th- $225, 17th- $225, 18th- $225, 19th- $225, 20th- $225, 21st- $225, 22nd- $225

The weekend continues on Saturday September 3 at Fairbury’s American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, IL with the 4th Annual Casey’s Modified Nationals and will feature a complete program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B Mains, and the 50 lap, $10,000 to win/$400 to start 4th Annual Casey’s Nationals A-Main contest. Joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in action at FALS on Saturday September 3 will be the track’s UMP Super Late Models racing for $3,000 to win. Also, there will be the Mullins Race Engines Non-Qualifiers event for those Modified drivers not transferring to the A-Main event, paying $500 to win and those drivers will UMP DirtCar Modified national points, but no AMS series points. There is NO entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series for this event. Transponder timing/scoring will be used at FALS and the rental fee is $5 (track uses the red AMB transponders). Activities for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series event at Fairbury’s American Legion Speedway on Saturday September 3 will see the pit area open at Noon and general admission area open at 3:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 5:30 p.m., with practice set to begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by time trials and green flag racing. All times listed are Central Daylight Times. Ticket prices for the event at FALS on Saturday September 5 in the general admission area will be $25 for adults, while a pit pass will be $40. The weekend will conclude on Sunday September 4 at Spoon River Speedway in Canton, IL with the 26th Annual Modified Fall Nationals that will feature the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in a full program of practice/time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 50 lap/$5,000 to win to win, $250 to start 26th Annual Modified Fall Nationals A-Main event. Joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in action at Spoon River Speedway on Sunday September 4 will be UMP Super Late Models ($2,500 to win), UMP Pro Late Models ($500 to win), and E-Mods ($300 to win). Activities for September 4 at Spoon River Speedway will see the pit area open at 3:00 p.m. and general admission area open at 5:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will begin at 5:45 p.m., with practice/time trials at 6:00 p.m. and racing starts at 7:00 p.m. All times listed are CDT. The entry fee with the series for this event is $50. Transponder timing/scoring is used (yellow Westhold transponders) and the rental fee is $10.
