By Christopher Boyd – Hello to all the race fans out there! This is the Auto Plaza Group Race Recap for Saturday, September 24th. If you were not there to watch then you missed out on some great racing as drivers raced for positions not only in the race but in the Points Standings as well.

Up first is the Super Street class. In heat number one, it was all Jason Neel from start to finish in his 94n car as he took the win. The 67m driven by Dan McNail finished second with Rookie of the Year contender Brad Callahan right behind him in his 21w car.

In heat number two, Robbie Williams finished on top in the 34 car. Travis Goodman finished behind him in the second position while another Rookie of the Year contender Ricky McCullough finished third in the 44r car.

In the third and final Super Street heat, the 40 car driven by Kevin Mosier finished up front after starting in the back. Joe Merritt finished behind him in second place in the 71 car with Shawn “Rooster” Griffen finished third in the 2 car.

The feature was a very eventful feature that ended with Robbie Williams taking home the trophy in the 34 car. Joe Merritt took second in his 71 car with Jason Neel in the 94n taking third. Fourth place went to the 32 of Robert Hicks with the 67m of Dan McNail finishing in fifth place.

Up next is the A-Modified class. Taking the win in the first heat was the 26 car driven by Kasey Nations. Finishing in second place was the 99 car driven by Bobby Burrows with Randy Forester finish third in his r7 car.

In heat number two, Billy Smith finished in the front in the 14 car. Jeff Asher finished behind him in the 56x car while Greg Swaringim finished third in the 25s.
Brent Thompson took the heat number three win in his 18 car. The 37 car driven by Brian Wolfmeier finished second with the 10r driven by Tim Radford right behind him in third.

The A-Modified Dash was a great race ending with Brian Wolfmeier finishing in first in his 37 car. Right behind him was Jeff Asher in the 56x car and Billy Smith in his 14 car finishing third.
The feature was another good main event on the night. Finishing on top and taking home the trophy was the 14 car driven by Billy Smith. Right behind him was Brent Thompson in the 18 car. Greg Swaringim took third place in the 25s car while Kasey Nations took fourth in the 26 car. Finish fifth was the dash winner Brian Wolfmeier in the 37 car.

Following the A-Modifieds would be the class everyone is waiting for, the Sprint Cars. Taking the win in heat number one was the 16g of Scottie Gretzmacher. Kevin Petty finished behind him in his 72 car with last week’s feature winner Kent Buckley finishing third in his 87 car.

Joey Montgomery took the win in heat number two in the 12x car. Joe B. Miller finished second in the 7c car while Cory Bruns finished third in the 42 car.

Heat number three went to Ryan Kempin in the 2k car. Dusty Homan finished behind him in his 10h car with Robbie Standridge finishing third in the 17*.

The winner of heat number four was Joey Boyd in the 67 car with Tommy Worley Jr. finishing second in his 97 car. Howard Moore finished in third in his 40 car.

The dash winner was Tommy Worley in the 97 car with Joey Montgomery finishing second in the 12x and Joe B. Miller finishing third in the 7c car.

The B-main event winner was Jacob Patton in the 79j car. Finishing in second place was Jimmy Bridgeman in the 14t car and Jeffery Masson in the 15* car.

The Sprint car feature event was the most eventful on the night because a lot of things at steak. Coming into the main event on the last point’s night for Sprint Cars, the top two drivers in points were completely tied and to top it all off, they both started on the front row in the main event. However, it all came down to the finish. Taking home the trophy and the point’s championship was Tommy Worley Jr. in his 97 car. Finishing in second place was the 10h driven by Dusty Homan with Jason Keith finishing in third in the 28 car. Bringing home a fourth place finish was Scottie Gretzmacher in his 16g car.

The last class was the B-Modified class. In heat number one, Kyle Stolzer finished first place in the 147 car. Jeremy Welborn finished in second place in the 27w car while Eric Sarakas finished third in the 2 car.

The winner of heat number two was Eddie Gross in the 4g car. The 10x of Kyle Jarrett finished behind him in second place while the 15b of Terry Bolin finished third.

Heat number three went to the 21r of Rudy Slade. Scott Jarrett drove his 4m car from a fourth place start to a second place finish while Pat Denoyer finished third in his 54 car.
The fourth heat was won by the 74 of Jeff Whitter. Kodi Savage finished second place in his 13 car while the 24f of Tyson Fallert finished third.

The B-main event was won by Josh Hauf in his 25 car. The 27j driven by Josh Crump finished behind him in second place. Colby Benson finished in third place in the 10b car.

The feature event winner was the 147 car driven by Kyle Stolzer. Finishing behind him in second place and putting up a fight for the win, just like their heat race was the 27w of Jeremy Welborn. Terry Bolin finished third in his 15b car. Scott Jarrett finished fourth in the 4m car while Rudy Slade brought home a fifth place finish.
