Columbus, Mississippi (10/31/16) –Â Magnolia Motor Speedway, in Columbus, Mississippi, is excited to announce the return of the Possum Town Grand Prix this Thanksgiving weekend, November 24th-26th, 2016.
The Possum Town Grand Prix will feature The NeSmith Late Model waging war on the 3/8-mile oval in pursuit of glory in the $10,000-to-win, 100-lap finale. Also in action will be the MSSS Street Stocks ($2,000-to-win), Factory Stocks ($750-to-win), 602 Late Model Stocks ($1,000-to-win) and Super Late Models ($1,500-to win on Saturday Night ONLY).
On Thursday, November 24th (Thanksgiving) there will be an open practice from 7pm-10pm.
Friday, November 25th will see NeSmith Late Models qualifying and running heat races, while Street Stocks will qualify and run heat races. Factory Stocks and 602 Late Model Stocks will run heat races. Super Late Models will have Practice Sessions during Races and after the races on Friday night.
Saturday, November 26th is headlined with NeSmith Late Models B-Mains followed by the 100 Lap Main Event ($10,000-to-win), MSSS Stocks B-Mains and Main Event ($2,000-to-win), Factory Stocks B-Mains and feature ($750-to-win), 602 Late Model Stocks B-Mains and main event ($1,000-to-win). Super Late Models qualify and compete for a $1,500 top prize in their feature.
