Atlanta, GA – December 07, 2016 – After a successful 20th anniversary season the United Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters advances into the future with the announcement of an expansion in the number of regional series it sanctions. For the 2017 season the USCS has created a new third regional series for its sprint car division. The new regional series will be called the USCS Deep South Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters.

The addition of the USCS Deep South regional series will give sprint car racers in the Alabama, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi area an opportunity to compete for a series Championship including a point fund and a host of per race and year-end contingency awards with limited travel. In addition to a top ten points fund, the new series will also recognize a USCS Deep South “Rookie of the Year”. Other special awards will be honored annually, such as Crew Chief of the year, etc. just like the United Sprint Car Series does for its National Championship, and both the Mid-South and Southern Thunder Tour regional series.

Thirteen races are already set for the 2017 USCS Deep South Thunder Tour. Those events are at tracks in Alabama and Mississippi. A final schedule of sixteen to eighteen events will be complete by the end of December.

The United Sprint Car Series thanks the USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour supporting sponsors including: K&N Filters, Hoosier Racing Tire, and USCS victory lane sponsor www.RockAuto.com plus Arizona Sport Shirts, Brown and Miller racing Solutions, Bulldog Rear Ends/DMI, DSR Fuel Systems, DHR Suspensions, Engler Machine and Tool, Hero Graphics, JE Pistons, Keizer Aluminum Wheels, KSE Racing Products, Pyrotect Racing Cells, Saldana Racing Products, Schoenfeld Headers and Wilwood Engineering.

The 2017 (21st season) USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour and new USCS Deep South Thunder Tour regional series kicks off at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Friday, March 3rd. The following night the series moves over to Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi on Saturday, March 4th. A full schedule of the 2017 USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour and USCS Deep South region winged sprint car events will be available soon.
