Dates are set for 2019-2021 event at the Dome at America’s Center

St Louis, MO. — The Gateway Dirt Nationals is fresh off the completion of another successful event in Downtown St. Louis at the Dome at America’s Center. The energy and excitement around the event has remained strong now for over 3 years and in 2019 fans should expect to have more of the same. The Gateway Dirt Nationals will return December 19th– 21st, 2019.

Even better, the burning question of the events future and sustainability in St. Louis has more clarity than ever before with 2020 and 2021 dates already secured at the Dome at America’s Center.  December 17th-19th, 2020 and December 2nd-4th, 2021 are slated for the Gateway Dirt Nationals.

“I felt it was important to get future dates released considering the event has some shifting weekends again in the future.  The Dome is booked many years out and has a busier schedule than most people realize…it just keeps getting busier too” Said event promoter Cody Sommer.  “The biggest hurdle is that we obviously need the Dome space but we also need the entire venue (America’s Center) for a pit area space on the same dates.  That is a rare occurrence in such a busy venue like the America’s Center…so these next 3 years I actually committed to and contracted about a year ago in order to ensure we had a future at the Dome” he added.

Regarding the 2019 event, additional details will be released in the coming months but several things are already determined.

What divisions will compete in the event?  The event will once again feature 3 divisions with Open Wheel Modifieds, Midgets and Super Late Models.

Is it invitational to compete in the event?  Open Wheel Modifieds and Midgets will once again, only be able to register if the competitor has received an invitation for the 2019 event.

Will Super Late Models be invitation only?  NO. Super Late Models will be open to all competitors to register with a total entry maximum of 150 entries (The same as previous years).  Registration is not open at this time and the date for registration is TBD.

Will the event format and schedule be different?  The format and schedule for the event will be similar to previous years.  However, there are some changes that will take place in the format in order to ensure racing concludes in a timely fashion each event day.

When will tickets, passes and suites go on sale?  All tickets, suites and credentials are NOT on sale at this time.  Those dates are TBD and information will be released ASAP.

Are hotels available for the weekend?  YES. Please visit our hotel page on www.GatewayDirt.com/Hotels
