DELEON SPRINGS, FL — Feb. 10, 2019 — The second DIRTcar Nationals Big Gator Championship Qualifier Night would end much earlier than the first one did the night before on Night #6 of the 48th annual DIRTcar Nationals. Mother Nature paid Volusia Speedway Park (FL) a visit early in the day and stuck around for the remainder of the afternoon and into the early evening. With a forecast for more of the same throughout the rest of the night, DCN and DIRTcar Officials were forced to postpone the DIRTcar UMP Modifieds portion of the night.

With the second postponement in less than 24 hours, it makes for a very busy day of racing for the DIRTcar UMP Modifieds on Monday, February 11. The Drivers Meeting will be at 3:30p.m., with cars on the race track starting promptly at 5:00p.m., with Hot Laps for the Saturday Big Gator Qualifiers followed by Hot Laps/Group Qualifying for the Sunday Big Gator Qualifiers.

Then racing begins and will run straight through for the rest of the evening starting with the conclusion of the Saturday show that was postponed; the two Last Chance Showdowns and the 20-Lap Feature. Then the Sunday Big Gator Qualifiers will run their Heat Races followed by the DIRTcar Late Models, who make their first appearance of the week. They will Hot Lap to give the Mod teams time to prepare for their Last Chance Showdowns and Feature.

Once those events are over, the DIRTcar Late Models return to the track for Qualifying and from there, the remainder of the Schedule of Events for the Monday, February 11 show will be followed. That will officially begin DCN Late Model Week with the first of two nights of action for the DIRTcar Late Models. It’s also the 15th annual Big Gator Championship Night and the crowning of the 2019 DIRTcar Nationals Champion for the DIRTcar UMP Modifieds.

The World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series take over on the Late Model side starting on Wednesday, February 13 while the day before, the Super DIRTcar Big Block Modified Series take over for the DIRTcar UMP Modifieds starting on Tuesday, February 12.

Fans who purchased their tickets in advance will have their MyDirtTickets.com account credited within 48 hours. Fans who purchased tickets on the day of the race can send their tickets to the address on the back of the tickets (7575 Westwinds Blvd., Suite D, Concord, NC 28027) for a refund.

Those with pit passes can bring their pit pass to the track Monday to exchange for a single-day pit pass. Those who cannot attend Monday’s event can mail their pit band back to the World of Outlaws and DIRTcar office at 7575 Westwinds Blvd., Suite D, Concord NC 28027)
