Summit Racing Equipment AMS 2019 Tour Begins at Tri City, Fayette County, and Route 45 April 12, 13, & 14

The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is set to begin its 10th season of racing with a weekend triple header at Tri City Speedway on Friday, April 12 for the annual “Deuces Wild” event, Saturday, April 13 at the Fayette County Speedway, and Sunday, April 14 at Route 45 Raceway. Tri City Speedway and Fayette County Speedway will pay $2,000 to win and $200 to start. Route 45 Raceway will pay $2,000 to win and $250 to start.

The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will visit Tri City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, IL on Friday, April 12 for the annual “Deuces Wild” event. The tour will be in competition with a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heat races, B-Mains, and the 30-Lap, $2,000 to win/$200 to start “Deuces Wild” A-Main event. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in action at Tri City Speedway will be UMP Late Models and MOWA Sprints with both divisions competing for $2,000 to win. Entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is $50. All drivers that start a B-Main, but do not transfer to the A-Main will receive $50 tow money.

On Saturday April 13, the tour will visit the Fayette County Speedway located in Brownstown, IL. The tour will be in competition with a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heat races, B-Mains, and the 30-lap, $2,000 to win/$200 to start A-Main event. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in action at the Fayette County Speedway will be UMP Hornets, UMP Street Stock, UMP B-Mods, and Team Cars. Entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is $50. All drivers that start a B-Main, but do not transfer to the A-Main will receive $50 tow money.

On Sunday April 14, the tour will conclude opening weekend of the 2019 racing season at the Route 45 Raceway located in Flora, IL. The tour will be in competition with a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heat races, B-Mains, and the 30-lap, $2,000 to win/$250 to start A-Main event. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in action at the Route 45 Raceway will be non-wing sprints, B-Mods, and hornets. Entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is $50. All drivers that start a B-Main, but do not transfer to the A-Main will receive $50 tow money.

Ticket prices for Tri City Speedway on Friday, April 12 in the general admission area will be $20 for adults and children 12 years and under will be free. Pit area admission will be $35 for adults and children 12 years and under will be $15.

Activities for the event at Fayette County Speedway on Saturday, April 13 will see the pit area open at 3:00 p.m. and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 6:15 p.m. with practice laps set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Time Trials will immediately follow practice laps and racing will begin at 7:30 p.m. All times are CST. Ticket prices for Fayette County Speedway on Saturday, April 13 in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, children ages 7-12 will be $5 and children 6 and under will be free. Pit admission will be $35.

Activities for the event at Route 45 Raceway on Sunday, April 14 will see the pit area open at 12:00 p.m. and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m. The driver’s meeting will be at 5:00 p.m. with practice laps set to begin at 5:15 p.m. Time Trials will immediately follow practice laps and racing will begin at 6:00 p.m. All times are CST. Ticket prices for Route 45 Raceway on Sunday, April 14 in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, $7 for military members with I.D., and children 10 years and under will be free with a paid adult. Pit area admission will be $40 and children 10 years and under will be $20.

2019 Tire Rule

Under the guideline of the 2019 DIRTcar UMP Modified rules, only tires approved for DIRTcar competition are the Hoosier: M-30S and M-60 compounds in the DIRTcar plated tire 26.5/8.0/15 or 27.5/8.0/15. The maximum width of the tire will be 9 inches. The M-60 may be used as a right rear option tire. NO GROOVING ALLOWED. Siping permitted on M-30 and M-60.
