(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) The Dennis Erb Racing team was back on the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series trail on April 5-6 in the 12th edition of the ‘Illini 100’ at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois. On Friday night in the $6,000 to win weekend opener at the 1/4-mile fairgrounds facility, Dennis Erb, Jr. timed in third fastest in Group B during qualifying before running second in his heat race. After drawing the eighth starting spot prior to the drop of the green flag in the 25-lap sprint, Dennis survived the rugged racing surface and moved up four spots on his way to a strong fourth place effort behind only victor Brian Shirley, Brandon Sheppard, and Chris Madden.

Another stellar field of cars and a standing room only crowd converged at FCR on Saturday evening, as a $15,000 top prize was on the line in the ‘Illini 100’ finale. Dennis stopped the clock quickest in Group B and later ran second in heat race action. After rolling off from the inside of the fourth row in the 75-lapper, the Carpentersville, Illinois ace was able to steer past three competitors en route to another fourth place performance behind winner Brandon Sheppard, Jimmy Mars, and Bobby Pierce. Dennis currently finds himself eighth in the latest version of the WOOLMS point standings exiting Farmer City. Full results from the ‘Illini 100’ weekend can be obtained by clicking on www.woolms.com.

The #28 team will remain in their home state this upcoming weekend, as Dennis is scheduled to pay a visit to Peoria Speedway in Peoria, Illinois on Saturday, April 13. The annual running of the ‘Chuck Hamilton Memorial’ will take place this weekend at Peoria and a $5,000 paycheck awaits the winner of the UMP Super Late Model special.
