Combined with Heads-up Hootenanny features Midwest Pro Mods, all-Chevrolet Mirror Finish car show, heads-up and bracket racing

April 22, 2019, St. Louis Region – World Wide Technology Raceway (formerly known as Gateway Motorsports Park) – the home of NASCAR, INDYCAR and NHRA in the St. Louis region – will present the annual Super Chevy Show at the drag strip on April 26-28. The all-Chevrolet show has been combined with the annual Heads-up Hootenanny for 2019 and will feature the Midwest Pro Mods, the all-Chevrolet Mirror Finish car show, heads-up drag racing and bracket racing. Saturday, April 27 is the big day of the meet and spectator admission is $25 for adults, $8 for kids ages 8-15 and kids 7 and under are free.

More than 24 Pro Mods are entered in the event, including: Ron Muenks, Keith Haney, Jeff Jones, Justin Jones, Todd Martin, Tommy Cunningham, Tony Williams, Jerry Hunt, Michael Rechia, Frankie Taylor, Wayne Roberts, Craig Sullivan, Jim Sacuvich, Eddie Rogers, Jon Stouffer, Aaron Wells, Randy Merick, Kevin Maddux, Jason Hamstra, Ej Hickel, Daniel Pharris, Steve Summers, Micheal Bradley, Jonas Aleshire, Chuck Weck, Blake Housley and Todd Moyer. These full-bodied cars race in excess of 220 miles per hour and will be competing for more than $25,000 in prize money.

“In addition to the huge Pro Mod field, Mel Roth of PSCA is expecting a good turnout of drag radial cars,” said Chris Blair, World Wide Technology’s Raceway Executive Vice President and General Manager. “The Midwest Pro Mod Series has also added Top Sportsman and Top Dragster to this year’s show which means we will have lots of extremely fast cars on the property. With a great weather forecast – highs in the mid-70s and then mid-60s during evening qualifying – this is going to be our best weekend of 2019 so far.”

This show has something for everyone in the family: high-speed drag racing action, an all-Chevrolet car show, the annual Chevy-versus-the-World bracket-racing battle, a large manufacturers midway with numerous food vendors, a DJ and fun activities on the midway. WWTR’s new pavilion bar enhances the race-day experience and provides a front row seat to the midway and car show action with a closed circuit TV feed of the racing action.
