Below are the STLRacing.com Top 25 Dirt Late Model Rankings as we enter the last week of April.  The Highlight of last week Bobby Pierce won the Slocum 50 at 34 Raceway located in Burlington, Iowa.   The event was sanctioned by the MLRA and paid over $10,000 to win.   Chase Junghans won the MLRA event Friday night at Davenport which paid $5,000 to win.

 

Brandon Sheppard and Jonathan Davenport are only separated by 1 point in the STLRacing.com Rankings and both will be in action this weekend going head to head at Tri-City Speedway and Macon Speedway.    Both events are sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Series.

 

Bobby Pierce and Jimmy Owens are the two drivers moving up the ladder while Earl Pearson Jr and Tyler Erb need to pick up the pace.   You can expect to see half of the Top 25 in the rankings at Tri-City and Macon this weekend.    Below is a little preview of what we can expect to see this weekend.

 

HOKER TRUCKING – BEST in the BUSINESS 50  – FRIDAY APRIL 26TH – TRI-CITY SPEEDWAY

 

The Lucas Dirt Late Model Series will be at Tri-City Speedway Friday night.  This is the first of two visits to Tri-City Speedway in 2019.    You don’t want to miss this one,  the Lucas series has 15 full time drivers on the tour including Jonathan Davenport, Earl Pearson Jr., Tyler Erb, Tim McCreadie, Jimmy Owens, Josh Richards, Don O’Neal, Devin Moran, Hudson O’Neal, Kyle Bronson, Billy Moyer Jr., and Stormy Scott to name a few.    Than you add the regional heavy hitters such as Chase Junghans,  Tony Jackson Jr, and Chris Simpson and that is not including the Illinois contingent of Brian Shirley, Shannon Babb, Brandon Sheppard, Dennis Erb Jr, Frankie Heckenast Jr., and Michael Kloos.    Also on hand will be track champion and son of dirt late model Hall of Famer Kevin Gundaker – his son Gordy will be in the famed orange number #11.

 

The 3/8 Mile will be rocking on Friday night and Promoters Tammy and Kevin Gundaker have added both the UMP Modifieds and the B-Mods on the card.  The Lucas Late Model event will pay $12,000 to the winner.

 

What a show this is going to be and the weather looks fantastic Friday night – Hot laps are slated for 6:30 pm with Qualifying and racing to follow.    – SO BE THERE !!!!

 

Saturday the Lucas troops will head to Mighty Macon Speedway on the 1/5th mil oval for a 100 lap race paying $12,000 to win Bobby Pierce last year swept the weekend at both Tri-City and Macon.
