OCRS Winged Sprints Make 1st Ever Visit To Springfield Raceway

Springfield, Mo.- Winged Sprint Car Action makes its way to The Racy”Quick-Quarter” of The Springfield Raceway Saturday Night as The Ameri-Flex ORCS ( OIL Capital Racing Series) will make its 1st ever first to The High-Bank Quarter-Mile Clay Oval.

Series promoter Kerry Gorby and his staff are excited in coming to the Speedway Saturday Night as some Top Winged Sprint Drivers will be ready to compete as the action and excitement should keep the crowd on the edge of their seats.

” We are bringing some very talent drivers and top contenders for our 1st ever trip to the track.” as an excited Series Promoter Kerry Gorby said.

Drivers such as Former ASCS National Champion our 2017 Champion and top runner Zach Chappell in his famed 50z, Alex Sewell, hard charging Layne Himebaugh and many more we are bringing some of the best to Springfield for our 1st ever visit. The Series is very well established and started back in 2002 and has really grown since Gorby took over of the series in the 4-State area.

Zach Chappell and Layne Himebaugh come into the weekend tied for the points lead after logging a pair of constant finishes at Red Dirt Raceway and Caney Valley Speedway. Defending champion and Caney Valley Speedway winner Alex Sewell sits 12 points back in third. Andrew Deal is just two points behind Sewell in fourth and previous Humboldt winner Barksdale rounds out the top five.

It will be Pepsi Night at the Springfield quarter-mile oval and racing will get underway at 6:30.

This is the only scheduled visit to Springfield and it should be one you don’t want to miss.

Action will also feature The Bad Boy Mower IMCA Modifieds, USRA B Modifieds, Midwest Modz, Legends, Pure Stocks and Mini-Lates competing in a track point night.

Grandstand  Adult Admission will be only $20 with Kids 12 and Under Free in the grandstands. Pit Passes will be $35.
