Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series Returns to Action Memorial Day Weekend in Illinois May 23-26

A busy weekend awaits the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series with four consecutive nights of action-packed racing. The tour will visit Tri-City Speedway, Farmer City Raceway, Fairbury Speedway, and Fayette County Speedway Thursday, May 23rd – Sunday, May 26th.

 

The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will visit Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, IL on Thursday May 23rd. Tri-City Speedway’s “Thursday Night Thunder” will the see the tour in competition with a full program of practice/A-B group time trials, qualifying heat races, B-Mains, and the 30-lap, $2,000 to win/$200 to start A-Main event. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in action at Tri City Speedway will be B-Mods ($1,000 to win) and Crate Late Models ($1,000 to win). Entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is $50. All drivers that start a B-Main, but do not transfer to the A-Main will receive $50 tow money.

Activities at Tri City Speedway on Thursday, May 23rd will see the pit area open at 3:00 P.M and the general admission area open at 5:30 P.M. The driver’s meeting will be at 6:00 P.M with practice laps set to begin at 6:30 P.M followed by time trials and green flag racing. All times are CST. Ticket prices at Tri City Speedway in the general admission area is $15 for adults (kids 12 years and younger are free) and pit area admission is $35 for adults (kids 12 years and younger are $15).

 

The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will visit Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, IL on Friday May 24th. The tour will be in competition with a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B Mains, and a 30 lap, $2,000 to win/$200 to start A-Main event. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in action at Farmer City Raceway on Friday May 24th will be the track’s Super Late Model, Pro Late Model, and Street Stock divisions. Entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is $50. All drivers that start a B-Main, but do not transfer to the A-Main, will receive $50 tow money.

Activities for the Friday, May 24th event at Farmer City Raceway will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 6:15 p.m., with practice laps set to start at 6:30 p.m., followed immediately by time trials at 7:00 p.m. and green flag racing at 7:30 p.m. All times CST. Ticket prices for Farmer City Raceway on Friday May 24th in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, while a pit pass will be $30.

 

The following evening on Saturday May 25th the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will visit Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, IL. The tour will be in competition with a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B Mains, and a 30 lap, $2,000 to win/$225 to start A-Main event. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in action at FALS on Saturday May 25th will be Super Late Models, Pro (Crate) Late Models, Street Stocks, and Sportsman. Entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is $50. All drivers that start a B-Main, but do not transfer to the A-Main, will receive $90 tow money.

Activities for the Saturday May 25th event at Fairbury American Legion Speedway will see the pit area open at 12:00 p.m. The general admission area Gate 2 will open at 2:00 p.m. and Gate 1 at 5:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 5:15 p.m., with practice laps set to begin at 5:45 p.m., followed by time trials at 6:15 p.m., followed immediately by green flag racing at 7:00 p.m. All times CST. Ticket prices for FALS on Saturday May 26th in the general admission area will be $20 for adults while a pit pass will be $35.

 

The weekend concludes on Sunday May 26th at Fayette County Speedway in Brownstown, IL. The tour will be in competition with a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B Mains, and a 35 lap, $3,000 to win/$250 to start A-Main event. Sunday, May 26th also marks the A-Main make-up event from the April 13th postponement. The April 13th A-Main make-up event will pay $2,000 to win and will be the first racing event on Sunday night. Also, joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in action at Fayette County Speedway on Sunday May 26th will be the track’s Hornet, Street Stock, B-Mod, and team-car divisions. Entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is $50. All drivers that start a B-Main, but do not transfer to the A-Main, will receive $50 tow money.

2019 Tire Rule

 

Under the guideline of the 2019 DIRTcar UMP Modified rules, only tires approved for DIRTcar competition are the Hoosier: M-30S and M-60 compounds in the DIRTcar plated tire 26.5/8.0/15 or 27.5/8.0/15. The maximum width of the tire will be 9 inches. The M-60 may be used as a right rear option tire. NO GROOVING ALLOWED. Siping permitted on M-30 and M-60.
