The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series would visit the Cedar Ridge Speedway in Morgantown, KY on Saturday night. Will Krup would sweep the night in his #K19 Elite Chassis by taking overall fast time during QuickCar Racing Products time trials, winning his heat race, and dominating the 40-lap A-Main event.

Tyler Nicely and Trent Young would lead the field to green for Night #2 of the “Hope for Harlie” benefit event. Third place starter Will Krup would slip by both drivers on the exit of turn 2 to assume the lead on the opening lap. Young, Nicely, Nick Hoffman, and Ricky Arms would all battle within the top-five during the early stages of the event. Hoffman moved into second position around the half-way point of the event and would begin his assault on Krup. Hoffman was able to close within a few car lengths of Krup, but could never seriously challenge for the top spot. Krup would lead all 40 laps Saturday night and collect $6,000 for his efforts. Hoffman would take second place and Ricky Arms would finish in third position. Rounding out the top five would be Tyler Nicely and Eddie Carrier, Jr.

The remainder of the top ten at the completion of the Summit Racing Equipment A- Main at Cedar Ridge Speedway would be Jimmy Payne, KC Burdette, Austin Holcombe, Trent Young, and Trey Harris.

The next event for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will be Saturday, August 24, 2019 at St. Francois County Raceway. The event will pay $2,000 to win and $200 to start.
