  1. Ken caused the lead car in the heat race to spin out from 30 feet away… :) that’s how you pressure another car. :D

  2. Let’s go a different direction. Why doesn’t Ken start racing with professional racers who aren’t working for a living and as a millionaire at least give up the front row starting spot. He has been one of my favorite drivers for a long time and I appreciate his support of racing but take your appearance money start on the tail and have fun coming through the field.

    • John Nimetz……wait, what? You talk as though he’s just given a spot on the front row. Is that what it’s coming to? He should just voluntarily start on the back and tear his car all to hell because he has made a good honest living? Sweet Baby Jesus, man……put the pipe down brother.

    • Ronnie Cochran Wouldn’t be the first time it’s happen. John is a former racer him self!

    • Nathan Stephens really? Never heard of such……but I’m always interested in such stories. I’ve raced for years and been to dozens of races where upper epsilon class drivers raced against the local talent and NEVER have I heard of anybody not earning their starting position.

    • Ronnie Cochran I have no idea how accurate this is but my point is that he was a USAC silver crown and Sprint car champion. I won’t mention the pavement stuff but it’s a little bit unfair. And Kenny Wallace said that money doesn’t win races and I agree with that too a point. It’s also true that you are not going to win or even race without money.

    • Ronnie Cochran I have never been a baseball player. I am 54 years old and I have bad knees. That being said I would absolutely destroy the others in the local 4 and 5 year old T ball league. Lol. I was just saying my opinion and still love ken. Ken get a late model.

    • John Nimetz it’s the Billy Moyer effect… Has he accomplished alot on his racing career? Yes, so people feel he needs to run for more money… There’s a flip side both guys have had prolific careers in racing… leave them alone.. they wanna race because it’s fun for them. Kenny travels with his wife usually with a small truck, nothing extra.. Let the guy enjoy racing in his retirement.

    • Kenny gets special treatment? Hell lee county speedway disqualified him when he crossed the scales light 🤷‍♂️ Schrader is a hoot wherever he shows up to race

    • Ronnie Cochran I agree we raced in the 80s and the fast qualifer got to start on the outside…. of the LAST ROW in the heat… outside of the LAST ROW of the dash and outside of the SIXTH ROW in the feature…. my times have changed.

    • Jim Maly I’ve been telling some of the young driver how it was done in the 50s and 60s . Fast cars would sandbag to keep from winning heat ran and having to go to the back . Can u imagine the crying that would go on today if they did that . Would make racing more fun .

    • We would flip a coin too but I can not remember what for.

    • Jim Maly to start heads up or fastest start in the rear

    • Caleb Dunaway I don’t want to offend him or you. I am just thinking that Ken likes to win races obviously. It can’t be very satisfying starting on the front row and leading every lap against a field of good guys who love to race and race against a legend but have to go to work the next day. Just a thought. No disrespect meant to Ken who is one of my favorites.

    • John Nimetz but that’s part of it. You go to the track to win. It don’t matter if you start last or on the pole. We all have one mission when going to the track. That’s to win by an inch or half a track.

    • Caleb Dunaway I agree but starting Ken on the front row is a stacked deck and a betting man’s wager

    • John Nimetz he really started front Row with a provisional?

    • Jim Mogg Now that you say that I think it was just for the dash, no matter what I think you were awarded 6th row outside for the feature. I could not have been that unlucky with the coin all the time. lol

    • Caleb Dunaway Kenny doesn’t travel with his wife lol..

  3. I’ve seen him take the last starting spot several times and still come out on top.

  4. The other thing people should appreciate about the Kennys, is when either one shows up it helps support your local track by putting people in the seats. Also they just like to race! I’d like the opportunity to race with them sometime!
