Tri-City Speedway & Highland Speedway become first Illinois tracks in St. Louis region to open this weekend!

St. Louis, MO (June 18th, 2020) Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, IL and Highland Speedway in Highland, IL are set once again to wave the green flag this weekend. Neither have run a race all year due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Tri-City Speedway will be in action this Friday, June 19th with five divisions competing including UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Pro Late Models, Street Stocks & B-Modifieds. Pits open at 2pm, grandstands open at 5pm with hotlaps at 6:30pm and racing at 7:15pm. Grandstand tickets are $15 with kids 12 years old and younger free in the grandstands. Pit passes and tickets will be sold a the gate.

COVID-19 guidelines will be in place for this event. In addition to limiting capacity with head count numbers, attendees are encouraged to wear masks, bring hand sanitizer, and utilize the six foot social distancing recommendation as much as possible. Temperature checks/health screenings will be held upon arrival for fans and competitors.

Highland Speedway will be in action for the first time this Saturday, June 20th. Highland Speedway will race UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Pro Modifieds & Street Stocks. Hotlaps are at 6:15pm with racing immediately following hotlaps.
