For Immediate Release

(Warrensburg, Missouri) Last weekend’s action at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) was fast and furious as the drivers and staff powered through the program with two of the main events going green to checkers in just under eight minutes! The complete kids night program included 16 events along with intermission-time kids foot races on the track and was done by 10:30.

This week is building up to be just as exciting as the push for the season championships have begun. Just a few weeks remain for championship points earning, in fact, the Street Stocks have just one week of points racing left and that is this Saturday. A-Mods, B-Mods, Mod-Lites, and Pure Stocks have two weeks of championship racing left to go.

For any drivers wishing to check out CMS in preparation for some of the upcoming special events, including the end-of-month, $2,000-to-win Street Stock Showdown, promoters Earl and Susan Walls have eliminated the ‘track registration’ fee for the remainder of the year in all classes.

Classes competing Saturday includes A-Mods, Street Stocks, B-Mods, Mod-Lites, and Pure Stocks. Heat races and main events will make up the program of events throughout the night. Weekly “to win” money for classes includes $1,000-to-win A-Mods, Street Stocks for $400 to win, B-Mods for $500 to win, Mod-Lites $300, and Pure Stocks $270-to-win.

Johnson County continues to see a surge in confirmed positive COVID-19 cases. This has prompted Johnson County Community Health Services (JCCHS) to implement a face covering mandate. The order states face coverings are required in outdoor public gatherings when social distancing is not an option. Read the full order here.

CMS is looking for Sponsor Partners for the upcoming Street Stock Showdown and the inaugural Big Bad B-Mod Blowout, that will close the season. Race advertisement, on air interviews, social media presence, comp tickets for sponsor, and website presence are all included in the sponsor packages. Please call Susan Walls at 816-229-1338 for complete details. No calls after 8 p.m. please.

The following is a quick view look at the current top five in each of the weekly racing divisions at CMS heading into this weekend’s action:
