Josef Newgarden won the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 at World Wide Technology Raceway. It was his 25th career victory in Indycar racing.

After a lengthy rain delay, the race restarted just after 9 pm. Scott McLaughlin, Newgarden teammate was the leader as the race restarted, but Newgarden quickly passed him and held on for the final 41 laps.
“I had just enough to get by Scott,” said Newgarden. “Scott could have easily won this race.
Newgarden should consider making St. Louis his new home, winning his third straight victory at the World Wide Technology Raceway 1.25-mile oval
This also was Newgarden’s third straight victory at this 1.25-mile oval in the shadows of the Gateway Arch and fourth win at the race track.
David Malukas ended the race in second place and Scott McLaughlin ended in third.
