The United Late Model Association (ULMA) is pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with Crawdad’s Classics Gourmet Hot Sauce as title sponsor for the 2011 race season! The Crawdad’s Classics Gourmet Hot Sauce ULMA, which it will now be known, is heading into its fifth year of sanctioning late model racing. ULMA could not be more proud of this announcement and looks forward to forming a solid and long-lasting partnership with Crawdad’s. Since its inception and through trying times, ULMA drivers, fans, and most importantly the affiliated tracks have stuck it out with the association. Now, for the first time in many years, the association has the ability to assure participating drivers there will be a point structure payout at the end of the race season, which should in-turn assist with more participating drivers for the tracks. Over the last few years, the ULMA board of directors worked tirelessly to secure a business partner capable of providing a point’s fund to its participating drivers but was unsuccessful. In this case, Crawdad’s Classics made the initial contact with the association and in a very short matter of time the board of directors secured the good news for its 2011 participating drivers. ULMA was formed to secure a home for weekly late model racing at participating tracks and firmly believes it has lived up to this goal. With the Crawdad’s Classics partnership, ULMA believes its presence in the racing community will become even stronger as it continues doing its part to bring a larger pool of drivers to the tracks while governing topnotch competitive racing and growing a loyal fan base.

Crawdad’s famous hot sauce comes straight from the Bayou and is a great mixture of flavor and spice, while keeping the heart of Louisiana. Crawdad's Classics goes great on any food, including Italian, Mexican, Greek, Indian, even Burgers! Crawdad's Classics gets its name from founder, Cordell "Crawdad" Bixler. As a boy, Bixler loved to spend his days catching crawdads in the ditches and creeks of the Missouri boot heel. Crawdad's love of Cajun cooking and excellence in spicy foods led him to create Crawdad’s Classics Gourmet Hot Sauce in 1995. Since then, many restaurants have discovered the unique flavor that has customer's asking for more. ULMA invites you to give Crawdad’s Classics a try and experience the exceptional flavor that only Crawdad’s can deliver. Crawdad’s is committed to providing the highest quality and flavor in gourmet hot sauce and soon to come, other flavors of sauces, rubs, and salsa. Crawdad’s philosophy is that through hard work, honesty, and integrity, it will always do its best to deliver the highest quality customer service; a philosophy similar to that of the ULMA board of directors. The new partnership with Crawdad’s Classics is not the only good news out of the ULMA camp for drivers and fans. Recently, the association secured another affiliated track for next season as Scotland County Speedway in Memphis, Missouri becomes the latest speedway to partner with the association. For the first year, ULMA member drivers will mix with other area limited style late models on Saturday evenings at the track. Member drivers must abide by ULMA rules as written in order to be eligible for the championship, end-of-year prize winnings and contingency awards. The track is located in the Northeast corner of Missouri, well away from ULMA’s existing affiliated tracks at Callaway Raceway in Fulton, Missouri on Friday nights and Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri and Central Missouri Speedway in Warrensburg, Missouri on Saturday nights. Scotland County Speedway’s season is scheduled to get underway on Saturday, April 2, which also marks the start of the 2011 ULMA race season. Visit the speedway online at www.scotlandcountyspeedway.com.

As previously released, ULMA has expanded its engine rules for next season as it continues to focus its attention on keeping “limited style” late model racing under one set of competition rules. For complete details visit the rules page on the official ULMA website at www.ulmaracing.com. The rules allow for late model racers using steel block, CRATE, or spec engines a place to race on a weekly basis. Next year’s schedule has 83 scheduled events between the four affiliated tracks from April through September. Drivers gunning for the title of ULMA champion will once again keep their 15 best finishes obtained throughout the year at participating tracks. Last year’s championship came down to the final turn of the final race as Vance Wilson beat out former champion Jason Bodenhamer by a mere two points to earn the title.
