Sports Car Club of America is accepting new Cornerworkers for their Road Course Races. NO experience required (OJT) and you can't get closer to the action unless you are looking out of the windshield! Besides the racing, SCCA provides lunch both days at events, and the dinner and drinks Saturday after the last checker. For more information email midaby at gmail dot com .
Also, SCCA in cooperation with GMP, is holding a "Crash, Fire, and Rescue School" on Saturday March 21 at Gateway. Open to ALL racing officials and staff and FREE; you will get hands on instruction and practice in incident assessment and response, fire suppression, extracasion, and more. Additional topics of cornerworking, Flagging and Radio Communications, will be covered as well. Pre-registration will get you free lunch as well. While this school is NOT required to work corners for SCCA, it is a great way to get started! Follow the links for more information and registration.
