Dave, I used to bend the crap out of them just from racing......I finally started welding plates on the bottom of them to make a box....by the time I did that, it was no different than buying ones from speedway......but I don't have a dog in the fight, so I don't really care...:)

When I told my dad that he had passed, my dad started telling me stories about him....he said Gervase was always telling jokes.....he'd get into a wreck on the track, get out of his car and crack a joke about it.....never got worked up about anything.....:)

Probably......getting anything approved with St. Louis County is a pain in the rear....... Hopefully they don't make you buy a membership to race like the one in Earth City did....I hardly ever went because of that.....not only was it $25 to run once, you had to buy a day membership for about...

Its cool that the sportsman lap times were faster than the modifieds.....(check Naeger vs. Miner) although, the sportsman did run before the late models and the modifieds were after the late models, so the track was more dry for the modifieds....but still cool to see....:) Just shows how much...

I think you can build a very competitive Allied Legal motor for a fairly good price when you do it yourself.......its when you pay some of the bigger engine builders to build them that gets expensive......nothing wrong with doing that, I'd rather spent my money on other things though.....=) I...
