What happens with UMP points? For instance, if you finished 5th and then the DQ happened, you officially finish 4th. Will you get 4th place points sent into UMP?
Thanks for the kind words. It's my first year racing and was definitely an experience. Car is junk but already am building a new one that will be ready in a week. I'm very prepared before a race, I get strapped in literally 4 races before I need to be in staging. I check my belts to be tight at...
A maximum of 5 degrees camber is allowed on any wheel per UMP rules. A car without camber cannot go through a corner near as smooth, consistent, and fast as a car that is setup correctly.
Ever think on the other side of the spectrum that the problem is it's easier to point fingers than to actually take the car off the trailer and look it over every week? Maintence, setup, and the driver is what wins these races.
I personally don't mind the pay out but others, that's a big part of the car count going down. We should be thankful we get paid anything...for a hobby.
Payout is a big part too. Tri city and Pevely pay $100 to win and can hardly get 10 cars weekly... meanwhile Fayette County and Charleston, maybe others pay a measly $50 more and always have 20-30 cars. Or another idea, racers put in $5 or $10 to add to the purse. I sure wouldn't mind it one bit.
When you are racing with a field of new guys, what do you expect? The class is all about the driver. The best driver can drive the "worst" car and still put it in the top 5.
