From West Plains Motor Speedway
76 drivers representing 9 states gathered at West Plains Motor Speedway, Thursday, Aug. 5th, to make their claim toward the $30,000 purse held for this open wheel modified, non-sanctioned annual event. Drivers participated in a draw for heat race position and were divided up into 6 15-lap heats where 4 transferred to the nightly qualifying feature. The top 8 from the nightly qualifying feature will transfer to the Championship event on Saturday night.

Friday's format will be the same and additional drivers will possibly arrive to attempt to qualify as the drivers have the option of competiting all three nights or any one or two of them. Gates will open at 6 p.m. for spectators, hotlaps at 7:30 p.m., and racing at 8 p.m. Adult admission is $7 for adults, $2 for kids 7-11, 6 & under are always free at West Plains Motor Speedway.
