The Practice Night activities revealed a great field of super late model drivers plan to compete in this year's O'Reilly Show-me 100, but with nearly $200,000 in prize money up for grabs this weekend, that is no surprise. The West Plains, MO, event has traditionally drawn an outstanding field of prestigious drivers from all across the country.

Last night over 100 drivers hit the 3/8 red clay oval to test the waters of this years competition. Past champions on hand last night included, defending champion Scott Bloomquist of Mooresville, TN, Billy Moyer and Wendell Wallace of Batesville, AR, Freddy Smith of Seymour, TN, Ray Cook of Brasstown, NC and Terry Phillips of Springfield, MO.

Nearly 600 drivers and fans enjoyed the Ozark's themed meal at the Driver's BBQ Dinner, but tonights events turn toward serious competition. The late models will time qualify, with GRT Race Cars providing $1700 to the fastest qualifier, run the Manufacturer's Dash for Cash, along with the Lunati Race of Champions. An unsanctioned modified class will provide a support program.

Saturday night program will include late model heats and the last chance races to determine the starting lineup for the $39,000 to win, 100-lap feature event along with an additional modified support program.

Gates will be open all day each day for fans and visitors until ticketing begins at 5 p.m., events will get underway at 7 p.m. each night.
