KNOXVILLE, IOWA (November 9, 2007) - Fifteen (15) winged 360-cubic-inch sprint car sanctioning affiliates have already committed to the $5,000-to-win Brodix Tournament of Champions (ToC) at the Knoxville Raceway on Sunday, August 3. Two of the affiliates are Australian, including the SRA Brodix Sprintcar Series (SRA) and the Sprintcar Thunder Series/Sprintcar All Stars (STS/SAS). The one-day international invitational for the ‘best of the best’ in 360 sprint car racing utilizes one common set of technical rules, including use of the ASCS Brodix spec head. Rejoining the 2008 Brodix ToC line-up is the United Sprint Car Series (USCS).

According to Knoxville’s director of racing Ralph Capitani, “We are very excited about the growth of winged ‘360’ sprint car racing in Australia. The SRA series will involve tracks in Hamilton, Victoria; Simpson, Victoria; Mount Gambier, South Australia; Warrnambool, Victoria; and tentatively Geelong, Victoria; while the STS/SAS series will include multiple rounds at Bacchus Marsh, Victoria; Ballarat, Victoria; and Mildura, Victoria. Add in the support of the Canada’s Southern Ontario Sprints (SOS) and hopefully the Alberta Sprint Tour (AST), and you’ll see this event become the true ‘World Challenge’ of ‘360’ sprint car racing!”

ASCS – Gulf South Region (ASCS-GS),
