The ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series is gearing up for the richest purse in series history on August 16th and 17th. The 32nd Annual Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial will pay $20,059 to the winner of the 59-lap feature at Richmond Raceway. The $56,984 purse will be contested over two days at the 3/10-mile oval known as “The Beast of the East”.
Preliminary action will begin on Friday, August 16th with Group A/B qualifying. The fastest qualifier in each group will receive $250 from Davis Diesel Service and Cohen Recycling. Drivers will then compete in heat race action to lock themselves into the 24-car starting field.
Saturday, August 17th will begin with B-Mains to fill the remaining starting spots for the Butterball Memorial. Then, the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series will take the track for 59 action packed laps with drivers battling it out for the highest paying purse in Richmond Raceway history. By way of his win at the $5,000 to win Butch Shay Memorial last month, Zack Dohm has locked himself into the $20,059 to win Butterball Memorial.
Tire Rule:
Hoosier 1350 or 1600 and American Racer SD48 or MD56 (no Arts 56). ANY 70 will also be allowed as an option for the RIGHT REAR ONLY. Grooving and siping is allowed.
