EVANSVILLE, IN (January 27, 2004) - United Midwestern Promoters, the oldest and largest dirt sanctioning organization in North America, is pleased to announce their working 2004 U.M.P. Summernationals schedule. The 2004 U.M.P. Summernationals tour offers twenty-six adrenalin-filled nights of competition in a twenty-seven day period between June 21 and July 17. A very special announcement will be made in the near future regarding the championship point fund and complete purses. Have the purses changed as well as the schedule or are they the same as last year with Sunday though Thursday paying $6,000 to win and Friday and Saturday shows paying $10,000 to win?
This is a bigger change that what was thought, but that is fine as every year this mini tour changes and it is interesting to see where the races go.
 
I was told that purses, point funds, etc. will be announced probably within the next 10 days. Sometimes the changes must come if a track is unable or unwilling to hold a pre-planned event. Whatever the case may be, there is enough room for all of us and change is a good thing.
