50 Laps at Farmington

Holeshot

They said Saturday night at farmington that they was not going to let cars with smaller fuel cells stop half way and top off. Only a few cars have cells big enough to go all the way on one tank.
Why cant we stop at 25 and top off and restart single file just like on a regular yellow? Their going to lose alot of cars just because they cant go that long on one tank.

Whats up with that?

ALSO, what is the payout? Will it be more? Why should you put 50 laps of wear and tear, and bump and grind on your car for no more money, and no points?
Note that the Rock has improved their payouts.

The question was asked by more than one driver about the payout and nobody could get an answer. And if you look at www. Dirttrackracers.com and SFCR Web Sites it says that the Championships have already been awarded. So it looks like the points dont mean anything for the 50 Laps.

P.S. Congratulations to

I am pretty sure that a street stock built to the rules at SFCR with the legal 2bl carg burns about 7 galons of gas a nite, assuming you run the dash. Assuming you run 4 hot laps, 10 laps of heat race, 6 laps of dash, and 15 laps of feature thats 35 laps. So you would need 10 galons to run 50 laps. I dont think they run dashes there anymore, my figures are from when they did. If you count in yellows into the mix for figuuring your actual laps for a normal nite you might make a feature on less, as the guys who cause most of the yellows are supposed to be the guys who don't make the show through the semi.

Modifieds should have 32 galon cells if they are on alky, if they are on gas they will only need 20 or so anyhow. A 20 galon cell on alky will be close if there are alot of cautions. Also consider that a race that long will be dry slick late and will be slower allowing less pedal pounding, and saving fuel.

I have a dented but not leaking 32 galon cell I will sell.

Remember to allow for you fuel usage when figuring you total car weight after the race, and allow for the fuel load to go away and loosen your car late in the race. Gas weighs 6# per gallon, and I don't remember what alky weighs. Don't race your butt of for free by coming up lite, it ****s when that happens.

Is any Pevely sportsman going to farminton for this show? How much is it to get in the pits? How much do we have to weigh? Can we run three link or do we have to run four link?

50 lap @ sfcr

the last time that they ran a 50 lap race there it was in the hobby stock class.had 2 yellows and DID NOT stop for fuel.also the cars had to be farmington legal.no 3 or 4 links.

Everyone is still waiting on word about the payout.
Nobody seems to know what its going to be. I hope they make it worth the drivers effort to make it.
We are changing to a bigger cell and are going to try and make it.
