Lake Odessa, MI (Thursday, August 8, 2019) - A double-header weekend is on tap for the American Ethanol Modified Tour Presented by Allstar Performance (AEmods), and Saturday night features another increased pay out for the DIRTcar UMP Modified Tour. The AEmods roll into Merritt Speedway Saturday night for $3,000 to win the 30 lap main event.
The last time the AEmods were in action was the July 5th show from Merritt Speedway where David Mielke dominated the entire event. Mielke went on a roll winning every contest he entered under the American Ethanol banner, from the AEmods to the American Ethanol Late Model Tour. He bested Championship points leader Will Krup, and Merritt regular Collin Thirlby.
In their last visit, Krup came up just short on his quest to find victory lane. Despite coming up short, Krup brings in a commanding points lead over Luke Hubbell, who trails by some 192 points. Garrett Rons sits third in the points, holding off a charge from Thirlby and John McClure.
