Air-Evac Life Team Sponsors Exciting Program at West Plains Motor Speedway!

After a delightful day, fans and drivers were treated to a marvelous night for racing at West Plains Motor Speedway this as Air-Evac sponsored the full weekly points event. A special unit of the Air-Evac team was on hand with a full crew to answer questions before events got underway.

In the IMCA Modified feature another first time, this season, winner emerged as Billy Romans of West Plains took the honors of the evening. Taking second was Kevin Salter of Batesville, AR, followed by Carmon Vincent of Moody, MO, Brandon Ball of Koshkonong, MO and Scott Crigler of Alton, MO.

Balance of the field included: Bryan McKee of Mtn. Home, AR, Kevin Collins, Trent Cockrum and Jerry Croney, all of West Plains, Marty Toten of Pomona, MO, Al Bernal of Myrtle, MO, Danny Peterson of West Plains, Richard Smith of Williford, AR, Kelly Marsh of Willow Springs, MO, Phillip Murphy of Ravenden, AR, Lonnie Judd of Caulfield, MO, John Mostrom of Flippin, Calvin Tribble, and Don Marsh, both of West Plains, Brian Judd of Caulfield, Chris Piper of West Plains, and Shawn Walsh of Ash Flat, AR.

In the Super Stock feature another first time, this season, winner took the winner's stage as Dave Wallace of Theodosia, MO, crossed the finish first. Past track champion Stan Ellison of West Plains was in second, followed by trio of Kelly boys, Dee, Todd and Cody, all of Birch Tree, MO.

Balance of the field included: Darren Fox of Vanzant, MO, Jeff North of Rogersville, MO and Aaron Dicks of Gassville, AR.

In the Hobby Stock feature there was yet another first time this season winner, Chuck Russell of West Plains proudly took the top spot. Russell was followed by previous feature winners, Tyson Troutman of Houston, and Rick Cooper of Thornfield, MO. Rounding out the top five were Bobby Bryant and Dexter Frost, both of West Plains.

Balance of the field included: Wayne DeGase of Squires, MO, Willy Walker of Houston, Brian Ratliff of Hardy, AR, Larry Burton, II, of Mtn. View, MO, Bobby Ratterree of Mtn. Grove, MO, Marty Toten of Pomona, Chris Ratterree of Mtn. Grove, Greg Lute of Hardy, AR, Dean Smith of Mammoth Spring, AR, Darren Rust of Houston, and Bill Martin of Mammoth Spring, AR.

Last week's winner in the Cruiser feature , Jason Johnson of Hardy, AR, made a repeat appearance on Victory Lane. Rounding out the top five were Shane Hitt of Birch Tree, Chris Skinner of Moody, Andrew Harden of West Plains and Rocky Bowlin of Houston.

Balance of that field included: Donald Collins of West Plains, Phillip Chainey of Springfield, Dudley Collins, Jerry Riley, Jason Lohner and Billy Harden, all of West Plains, and Bobby Skinner of Moody.

In the Front Wheel Drive feature another repeat winner, Patrick Reed of Mtn. View, took first place honors, followed by Brad Sanders of West Plains, David Lute of Ash Flat, AR, and Steven Simpson of West Plains.

Ben Ledgerwood of Birch Tree, emerged as another repeat winner in the Youth Hobby Stock feature, perhaps establishing the longest running feature win record at WPMS. Rounding out the top drivers were Anthony Carnal of Cabool, Tyler of Springfield, and Rowdy Trivitt of Williford, AR.

Next week will be the TCI Automotive sponsored race night on April 23. Gates will open at 5 pm, hotlaps at 6:30 pm, with racing at 7 pm. Adult admission will be $7, senior citizens $4, kids 7-11 $2, and those 6 and under are always free. West Plains Motor Speedway is located 6 miles south of West Plains on US Hwy. 63.
