The battle lines have been drawn! It's O'Reilly MLRA at Winston Speedway this Saturday night September 4, 2006 and Al Purkey could lose his 3rd place in this years run for the O'Reilly MLRA Championship title. Will David Barker jump into 3rd? What about David Turner in 4th, will he gain on the Points title?
Former two time O'Reilly MLRA Champion Al Purkey currently in 3rd place with 689 points will miss the race at Winston Speedway as he attempts to hold on to the 69 point lead he has over Kelly Boen in the running for the 2004 O'Reilly NCRA Championship title. NCRA is racing on Saturday night at McCool Nebraska's Junction Motor Speedway, and on Sunday night at Belleville Kansas.
Look for Jason Bodenhamer to be at Winston Speedway for the O'Reilly MLRA event as he goes head to head with current O'Reilly MLRA Champion Alan Vaughn with just 30 points seperating the two drivers from Missouri. Bodenhamer is sure to lose his spot in the O'Reilly NCRA Points where he's currently 3rd with 2444 to Doniphan Nebraska's Tommy Rowe who has 2422.
So if you are looking for some fast racing excitement this weekend, ya better bring along a calculator to keep track of how your favorite racer is doing as the season has just two months of racing before we think about next year!
