American Modified Series Announces Bob Poynter Auto Group Hoosier State Challenge

Glasgow, KY- May 25, 2011- The American Modified Series would like to announce a special weekend points fund for the American Modified Series competitors for the events scheduled for the weekend of July 8 at Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, IN and July 9 at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, IN.

The Bob Poynter Auto Group Hoosier State Challenge is a collaborative effort of Bloomington Speedway track promoters Mike and Judy Miles, Brownstown Speedway track promoter Tim Keithley, the American Modified Series, and the Bob Poynter Auto Group to provide an extra incentive for racers to compete in both of these American Modified Series events at a pair of super-competitive racing facilities.

The events will be the JB Salvage, Inc. 30 on Friday July 8 at Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, IN and the Boknecht Trucking 30 on Saturday July 9 at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, IN. Both events will pay $1,500 to the winner.

The points fund money for the Bob Poynter Auto Group Hoosier State Challenge equates to a total of $1,000 and will be distributed to the top five point getters for the weekend between the pair of events at Bloomington Speedway on July 8 and Brownstown Speedway July 9 and is open to any driver that competes in the UMP Modified division at either track that weekend. The breakdown of the points fund will be as follows: 1st- $300, 2nd- $250, 3rd- $200, 4th- $150, 5th- $100.

Bloomington Speedway is located in Bloomington, IN and is promoted by Mike and Judy Miles. Racing since 1923, Bloomingon Speedway hosted the 2011 American Modified Series season opener, won by Ryan Thomas of Martinsville, IN. Brownstown Speedway in located at the Jackson County Fairgrounds in Brownstown, IN and is promoted by Tim Keithley.
