Bardstown, KY- May 14, 2011- The American Modified Series event that was scheduled for Saturday May 14 at Bluegrass Speedway has been rained out and the 11th Annual Mod Squad Bash has been rescheduled for Saturday June 4 at the David and Anita Ferrell promoted ½ mile high-banked clay oval.

Series race director Chad Yantz and Bluegrass Speedway co-promoter David Ferrell decided that with rain having already fell in and around the area of the track and with more rain being forecasted for later in the day and into the evening, the best decision was to go ahead and cancel the event for tonight and reschedule it for June 4. The decision was also made so as to save the race teams and race fans money in travel for gas in the event the program got started and then weather moved into the area. The series and track both apologize for any inconvenience and hopes that everyone will support the event, now reset for June 4.

The American Modified Series will now be off until Memorial Day weekend when the tour will visit Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, OH on Friday May 27 and Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY on Saturday May 28. Both events will pay $1,500 to win.

The American Modified Series presents UMP Modified sanctioned dirt track sports entertainment at racing venues throughout Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and Tennessee.
