American Modified Series Double Dips at Fayette County Speedway on Friday June 4

Glasgow, KY-May 27, 2010- After battling with Mother Nature in recent weeks, the American Modified Series presented by Force Fuel and Engine Conditioner will return to competition on Friday June 4 with a pair of A-Main events paying paying $1,500 and pay $200 to start each at Fayette County Speedway in Brownstown, IL.

On Friday June 4, the A-Main event that had 8 laps completed that was rained out back on April 30 will be the first event of the evening as the event will be restart with 8 laps scored, with the distance still scheduled for 30 laps. Only those drivers that had qualified for the A-Main back on April 30 will be allowed to compete in this race.

Also on Friday June 4, Fayette County Speedway in Brownstown, IL will host the American Modified Series presented by Force Fuel and Engine Conditioner for the second time in 2010 in a program that will feature a full evening of practice, A-B group qualifying, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 30 lap, $1,500 to win A-Main presented by NAPA. Joining the American Modified Series presented by Force and Fuel and Engine Conditioner in action on Friday June 4 at Fayette County Speedway will be the track’s Street Stock, Hornet, and Team Car divisions.

Activities for the June 4 Fayette County Speedway date will see the pit area open at 5:00 p.m., while the general admission area will open at 5:00 p.m. The driver’s meeting will be at 6:45 p.m., with practice immediately after the drivers meeting, followed by A-B group qualifying time trials, with racing at 7:30 p.m. All times are CDT. Ticket prices for this event will be $10 for adults, children ages 8 to 12 $5, and children under age 7 are free, and $30 in the pit area, with children ages 12 and under in the pit area for only $10. Of special note, for race teams taking their children into the pit area, the child waiver/consent form must have the signature of both parents for the child to be allowed in the pit area.

The A-Main purse for the Friday June 4 Fayette County Speedway events is as follows: 1st- $1,500, 2nd- $1,000, 3rd- $800, 4th- $700, 5th- $600, 6th- $575, 7th- $550, 8th- $525, 9th- $500, 10th- $400, 11th- $350, 12th- $300, 13th- $275, 14th- $250, 15th through 24th- $200 to start.

Fayette County Speedway is a ¼ mile high banked clay oval promoted by Charlie Depew. Fayette County Speedway is located at 322 West Cumberland Road in Brownstown, IL by taking taking exit 68 off I-70 and go east for 3.0 miles on Route 40 prior to turning and entering the Fayette County Fairgrounds.
