American Sprint Car Tour Invades Ponderosa Speedway on Friday May 21

Junction City, KY-May 16, 2010- Ponderosa Speedway track promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz will present another exciting evening of racing action at “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” on Friday May 21 as the American Sprint Car Tour will visit for the first time as Sprint Cars return to Ponderosa Speedway for the first time since 1996 to the 3/8 mile D-shaped clay oval.
The American Sprint Car Tour will be in action on Friday May 21 with a full program of warm-ups, practice, qualifying heats, dash, B-Mains and a 25 lap, $1,200 to win A-Main. Also in action will be the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models, paying $1,000 to win, and Clayton Homes UMP Modifieds, paying $600 to win. The Bob Allen Motor Mall Pro Late Models and D&D Pallet Recyclers UMP Sportsman have the night off. The Sprint Cars will draw for their heat race starting assignments, while the Super Late Models and UMP Modfieds will qualify.
Activities for this May 21 event at Ponderosa Speedway will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m., with the grandstand area open at 5:00 p.m. A mandatory drivers meeting takes place at 6:45 p.m., with Sprint Car warm-ups set for 7:00 p.m. Practice will begin at 7:15 p.m., followed by time trials at 7:45 p.m., and racing taking the green flag at 8:30 p.m. Ticket prices in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, and children under age 6 are free. A pit pass will be $30.
Ponderosa Speedway last raced on May 14 and feature event winners included Todd Coffman of Junction City, KY in Bob Allen Motor Mall Pro Late Models, Dustin Neat of Dunnville, KY in Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models, J.T. Ayers of New Haven, KY in Clayton Homes UMP Modifieds, and Wayne Hager of Nicholasville, KY in D&D Pallet Recyclers UMP Sportsman.

Ponderosa Speedway is located just off of 365 Phillips Lane on the Boyle/Lincoln County border, outside of Junction City, KY, just minutes from Danville, KY.
