(LIVINGSTON, TENNESSEE) Livingston, Tennessee driver April Farmer made Dirt Late Model history at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio over the September 10-11 weekend, as she became the first female to reach victory lane at the hallowed 1/2-mile, high-banked speedplant! After timing in a disappointing 122nd fastest of the 134 entrants during 'World 100' qualifying on Friday night at the "Big E," April dominated the Non-Qualifiers Race to score the popular victory. She utilized the bottom groove to lead all fifteen circuits en route to the $400 win over Jeff Watson, Russ Frohnaple, Steve Thorsten, and Don Gordon!

Although she did not qualify in the top 120, April was able to compete in heat race action on Saturday, as she was the first alternate. After starting dead last in her heat race, the driver known as "Rocket Mom" was able to move up seven positions to earn a thirteenth place preliminary finish. Unfortunately, she was done for the night following her heat race and did not compete in the $43,000 to win 'World 100.' Complete results from the entire weekend at Eldora can be found online at www.eldoraspeedway.com.

"It is such an honor to be the first woman in Eldora Speedway history to reach victory lane," exclaimed the mom of two beautiful daughters earlier this week. "I was upset that we didn't make the top 120 qualifiers, so I wanted to prove a point when I took to the track in the Non-Qualifiers Race. My husband Chris had the car dialed in for the bottom of the track and it was so much fun to lead flag to flag in that race. I have to thank everybody in my family, along with all of my great sponsors and fans, for all of their support. Hopefully, my win at Eldora in front of all of those people will inspire some young lady in the crowd to be a successful Dirt Late Model driver one day!"

The April Farmer Racing team will return to racing action this upcoming weekend (September 17-18) in the states of Illinois and Missouri. Up first for the #14 team will be a trip to the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois on Friday night for the $7,000 to win 'Dodge Ram 50.' The weekend will then conclude with the $10,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series showdown at the I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri on Saturday evening. April will make her first visit to both St. Louis area venues this weekend! Additional information concerning these programs can be found online at www.tricityspeedway.net and www.i55raceway.com.
