Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (March 28, 2007) – The 2007 season continues to shape up for the American Sprint Car Series Northern Plains Region with the addition of several more events announced this week.

A pair of tracks have been added to the ASCS Northern Plains slate including Fox Ridge Speedway in Arcadia, WI, and Minnesota's Jackson Speedway.

The series will take to the high-banked, 3/8-mile Fox Ridge Speedway on Friday night, July 13, setting up a two-day weekend in Wisconsin with a Saturday night card set for Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond.

The ASCS Northern Plains will also headline the famed Jackson Nationals at Minnesota's Jackson Speedway, a two-day showdown set for August 17-18. After a $1,500 to win card on August 17, the August 18 finale will offer up $5,000 to win and $500 to start.

The visit to Fox Ridge Speedway will be a series first, while reigning series champion Chuck Swenson, Bryan Dobesh and Dusty Zomer were each victorious in ASCS Northern Plains action at Jackson Speedway last year.

With the added dates, the 2007 schedule for the ASCS Northern Plains Region is now composed of 21 events at a dozen different tracks throughout Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa and Wisconsin.

The ASCS Northern Plains Region fires off the 2007 season with a two-day shootout versus the ASCS Midwest Region at Nebraska Raceway Park's I-80 Speedway in Greenwood on April 13-14. The event attracted 69 entries last year.

The 2007 season marks the 16th year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing for the American Sprint Car Series. With 13 different Regions in addition to the O'Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour National series, ASCS will sanction approximately 240 nights of racing at more than 100 different race tracks throughout at least 30 different states and Canada.
