Barnhouse wraps up 2006 Multi class championship at Doe Run Raceway

DOE RUN, MO--(August 25, 2006) With two point nights left in the 2006 season, Casey Barnhouse of Farmington, MO has wrapped up the track championship in the 600cc Multi division at Doe Run Raceway.

Barnhouse was virtually untouchable this past Friday night, winning both his heat race and the 20 lap feature event. Joey Boyd finished second behind Barnhouse in the main event, Brad Greer third, Eric Edwards fourth and Mark Shirshekan fifth.

Greer won the first heat, Edwards second and Chris Elliott third. Boyd finished second to Barnhouse in the second heat, Shirshekan third.

In the Mini Stock class, the fans were treated to the now famous chicken dance performed by Shannon Burch after his return to victory lane in the feature event. CJ Wright finished second, Bill Nickelson third, Tod Brinley fourth and Steve Wright fifth.

CJ Wright won the first heat, Brinley second and Denver Counts third. Nickelson won the second heat, Burch second and Steve Wright third.

Matt Dotson went two for two in the Dwarf Car class, winning both the heat race and the a-main. Chris Hayes finished second to Dotson in the feature, Billy Joe Beard third, Brad Paquet fourth and Wayne Arnold fifth. Hayes was also runner-up in the heat race with Brad Paquet crossing the stripe in third.

In the Stock Kart class, Jesse Wright piloted his red and white #11 to a victory in the feature event. Andrew Cash finished second, Scottie Gretzmacher third, Damien Atchley fourth and Garrett Burns fifth.

Cash won the heat race, Wright second and Atchley third.

George Smith had two wins this week in the new hornet class, earning victories in both the heat race and the feature event. Adam Parmley was runner-up to Smith in both events.

There will be no racing this Friday, September 1st. Racing will resume Friday, September 8th with all classes participating.
