BONNE TERRE, Mo. -- (Aug. 21, 2004) Steve Barton of Bonne Terre was the top eliminator and first place winner in the Competition Eliminator class Saturday night at Big River Sand Drags as he defeated second place winner William Sutton of Des Arc in the top eliminator race.
In Open 4x4, Gary Eckhoff of Cadet was the first place winner with second place winner Dan Griffin of Quincy, Ill. taking the top eliminator race.
In Vehicle ET, Karen Schmidt of Arnold was the first place winner, but second place winner Gladys Edwards of Bonne Terre was the top eliminator.
In Stock Buggy, Jeremy "Justa Puttin'" Sutton of Park Hills was the top eliminator and first place winner while Willie "Thurmanator" Thurman settled for second place.
In Super Pro ATV, Chris Schmidt of Arnold was the top eliminator and first place winner while Doug Brown of Bloomsdale captured second place.
In Pro ATV, Tony Pannell of Fenton was the top eliminator and first place winner with Eric Schmidt of Arnold taking second place.
In ATV-1, Josh Hayes of Pilot Knob was the top eliminator and first place winner while Eric McCoy of Potosi was the second place winner.
In Junior ATV, Jake Griffin of Quincy, Ill. was the first place winner with Whitney Dee of Leadwood taking second place and top eliminator.
Racing continues this Saturday night at Big River Sand Drags with "Take A Buddy" Night. Existing racers are urged to bring a friends to participate in the competition and anyone who would like to try out the sand drags can on this night for only paying their race fee. No MSRA membership dues would be paid by the new racer.
