DOE RUN, MO--(August 8, 2003) Eric Bellew earned his sixth feature win of the season this past Friday night with a victory in the $250 to win Birthday Bash at Doe Run Raceway.
Despite being challenged on numerous occasions by Ron Moser and Mike LaBrot, Bellew was able to hang on and collect the Birthday Bash check. Moser finished second, LaBrot third, Phil Norris fourth and Chuck White fifth. Eric Bellew won the first heat followed by Darryll Dickerson and Moser. LaBrot won the second heat followed by White and Carl Bellew.
600cc Multi class points leader Casey Barnhouse increased his points margin by grabbing another feature win. Following Barnhouse across the stripe were Kent Buckley, Junior Ferguson, Joey Boyd and Jimmy Bridgeman. Joey Boyd won the first heat with Chuck Fenwick in second and Ray Statler third. Kent Buckley picked up a pair of wins in the second heat race and the dash. Barnhouse was second to Buckley in both events.
In the Dwarf car class Vince Conway drove his white #40 to a victory in the feature event. Todd Williams finished second followed by Sam Layton, Bobby Black and Dom Wadlow. Layton won the first heat with Williams second and Black third. Conway posted a victory in the second heat with Chad Browers second and Cliff Yates third.
Braydon Wright was the winner of the Stock Kart class feature event followed by his brother Jesse Wright, Landon Barks, Wayne Arnold and Brad Paquet. Jesse Wright won the first heat followed by Braydon Wright and Landon Barks. Wayne Arnold won the second heat with Amber Bayless second and Brad Paquet third.
Michael Harp won both his events in the Super Stock Kart class and returned to the top of the point standings. Kyle Jarrett finished second to Harp in the feature followed by Wayne Arnold and Megan Bell. Arnold was second in the heat race, Jarrett third and Bell fourth.
