Just thought I'd let everyone know that MARA Midgets is selling 50/50 tickets for the benefit of injured midget driver Quinn McCabe. Quinn was seriously injured at our last race in Canton, Il on Sept. 20. He suffered a broken back and paralysis. He is now off the ventilator, starting to eat, starting to talk and is beginning to have some movement in his fingers. He will be transferred from the IC unit at the Peoria hospital to a rehab unit in Chicago soon. Bills are mounting daily and have maxed out some of his insurance. Won't take long to use up the rest, I'm sure. MARA will donate our portion of the 50/50 to Quinn at the banquet on Nov. 22. If anyone wants to buy 50/50 s or make a donation, email me at wandak@apci.net and I will send you some. We also have a collectible open face helmet autographed by all our feature winner drivers this summer that will be auctioned off at the banquet. Mail in bids will be accepted. Contact me for info.
