BONNE TERRE, Mo. -- Big River Sand Drags will host the inaugural "Missouri Open Invitational" this Friday, Saturday and Sunday (May 27-29th) with the track also naming three new members to it's "Wall of Fame."
"Over the past few seasons we've tried to go back to our roots and show our gratitude to the racers and the people who have made our track one of the finest in the country," said Big River Public Relations Director Jeff Mills. "This Saturday night we are going to be honoring three people who have not only been prominent parts of our past they continue to do so right now. If the people are deserving, they are deserving no matter what their age."
Mills said he was also not ruling out the track naming additional members to the "Wall of Fame" later this summer.
The Missouri Open Invitational will be featuring some of the finest drag racers from across the Midwest in nine different classes including: Competition Eliminator, Open 4x4, Off Road Modified, Stock Buggy, Vehicle ET, Super Pro ATV, Pro ATV, ATV-1 and Junior ATV. Special Missouri state plaques will be awarded to the top eliminators of each class on Saturday night.
Adding to the festivities on Saturday will be 93.7 FM radio "The Bull" with their NASCAR van. They will be in attendance from 8 - 10 p.m. with games, prizes and give-aways for the racers and fans. PDQ Photography will also be on hand providing some tremendous photos of the racing action.

Friday night: Test and Tune (6 p.m. - ?) $25 for UNLIMITED practice. No admission charge to watch.
Saturday: Gates open at 3 p.m. Time trials start at 4 p.m. Registration ends at 6 p.m. Wall of Fame ceremonies at 7 pm. with racing to follow.
Sunday: Gates open at 1 p.m. with time trials at 2 p.m. and racing at 4 p.m.
