Bluegrass Speedway to Honor Top Drivers of 2002 on November 17

Bardstown, KY-November 11, 2002- Bluegrass Speedway track promoters David and Anita Ferrell will honor the top drivers from the 2002 racing season at Bluegrass Speedway on Sunday afternoon, November 17. The awards banquet will take place in Samuels Hall at the Nelson County Fairgrounds and will begin at 2:00 that afternoon. The top ten drivers in each class will be recognized, with the top six in each division receiving money and trophies for their efforts, with the four class champions receiving money, trophy, and the champions jacket.

The awards ceremony will also be open to the public in 2002. Each driver and one guest of his choice will receive complimentary tickets to the awards banquet, that does include a meal before the awards ceremony. Admission to the banquet for everyone else will be $5 and that includes the meal and awards presentation. This admission reservation must be done as a RSVP and those can be made with Anita Ferrell at (859) 854-6922 or with media contact Michael Despain by e-mail at dirttrackracing@hotmail.com. This is necessary for the caterer to know how much food to prepare. The deadline to RSVP in on Friday, November 15.



The 2002 track champions at Bluegrass Speedway are Brad Neat of Dunnville, KY in Late Models, Benji Lee of Raywick, KY in Modifieds, Robert Cocanougher of Salvisa, KY in Sportsman, and Bobby Mattingly of St. Marys, KY in Street Stocks
