The Sloan family has bought Rodney's Late Model that Bobby drove. But as you can see, the Sloan have no idea in the field of racing. Bobby's car was the only car that has out ran Rodney this year, that's why Rodney got the new late model a month or two again. The Sloans can't finish in the top 10 unless there are only 10 or less cars in the feature. They took one of the best cars around and messed it up completely. I think Jeff Sloan needs to learn how to drive. As anybody could tell, when he was in the Steel Block class, he could drive either. He just had one of the best cars in the class and out ran everybody in the straight away, but he has none what so ever turning skills.
 
Thank you sooo much for your wonderful insight into the Sloan Racing Team. I'm sure they didn't even notice the absence of the checkered flag until you wrote this wonderful little tidbit to make them realize they didn't win.

As for the Sloan's having no "idea in the field of racing", I'm sure if you would take the time to ask around you would find this statement is not even close to the mark and does not justify a comment.

I'm sure that when Jeff gets a handle on his new car there will be much worse critisim than this. If he only won in the Steel Block Class because he had the best equiptment, he should really be able to fly through those straightaways by this time next year.
 
It was my understanding that the Sloan's only had $30,000 and they didnt have the $3000 for the traction control. But by next year, Jim told me that they will have a new one in place. He is selling the other car, but that control device was pretty beat up, so he will buy a new one for next year.
 
Well it was my understading that the Sloan's only bought the car for around $20,000. The Sloan's only have two checked flags this year, one to which Rodney didn't race in his own car. But if Jeff does make improvements and does do good next year. I would be more then happy to give him props, but I don't see anything the future happening though.
 
what happen to bob?

What happened to Bob Melvin anyway? Did he just get tired of racing or is there more to the story. like being owned by his brother?
 
I heard that Bobby wasn't working on the car anymore...so Rodney got pissed off and sold it. Who knows if that is true or not?
