Boyd Grand Nationals pays $2,000 to IMCA Modified, Stock Car winners

BOYD, Texas (Oct. 5) – Winners of IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco Stock Car features both earn $2,000 for their efforts at Boyd Raceway’s Saturday, Oct. 8 Grand Nationals.
The Modified main event pays a minimum of $100 to start and is a qualifying event for the 2012 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Smiley’s Racing Chassis Southern SportMods race for $1,500 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $1,000 to win.
Pit gates open at 4 p.m., the draw closes at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. All cars will be scored electronically and drivers who don’t own transponders can rent them for $10.
Grandstand admission is $12 for adults and $6 for kids 6-11. Youngsters five and under get in free. Pit passes are $25.
Gates open at 5 p.m. for a Friday, Oct. 7 practice session that runs from 6-8 p.m. Pit passes are $15 that evening.
