Belleville, IL. - Current point’s leader Brad Loyet won the Arnie Knepper Memorial POWRi presented by Speedway Motors 30-lap feature Wednesday Night at Belle-Claire Speedway. Loyet’s , driving the LoyetLandscaping Spike/Esslinger midget made this his second straight victory in the race named in honor of the late Belleville driver who complied an impressive midget racing career including several starts in the Indianapolis 500.
Polesitter Shane Cottle got the jump on Loyet, pacing the initial four laps around the quarter-mile oval.Loyet passed Cottle for the lead on the next circuit. Following Loyet who scored his fifth series victory of the season driving the Loyet Motorsports owned Spike/Ford-Esslinger No.05 were: Andrew Felker, Cottle, Nick Knepper and Dave Darland. Series action continues on Friday Aug. 20 with the Dana Godfrey Memorial at Macon Speedway.
Andrew Felker from of Carl Junction, MO driving the number 11A Sawyer Chassis Yamaha powered R6 sponsored 66 Truck & Foreign Salvage, MOMO’s Racing Engines, Auto Express added to his series leading points total Wednesday night winning the POWRi Micro Sprints feature at Belle Claire Raceway. The event was part of the annual Arnie Knepper Memorial.
Trailing Felker was Jeremy camp, Kara King, Natsha Cox, and Jimmy Stern.
