Sedalia, MO(May 4th)-Taking advantage of a late caution Brian Brown won the third annual Bob Ramey Memorial at Missouri State Fair Speedway with the O’Reilly Auto Parts Winged Outlaw Warriors.

Jason Johnson jumped into the lead at the start followed by polesitter Curtis Evans and Wayne Johnson. Johnson would bring out the yellow before a lap could be completed as he slowed coming out of turn four while running third.
On the next start, Johnson again jumped into the lead followed by Evans, Brown, and Jack Dover. Action would again be stopped on lap two as WOW rookie contender Austin Alumbaugh spun into the turn four guardrail. He would be able to restart.

On the restart, Johnson again jumped out to a big lead followed by Evans and Brown.

On lap four, Brown and Dover would both get by Evans with Martin rounding out the top five. A lap later, Martin would get by Evans for fourth. Also on the move at this point were Tony Bruce Jr. and Danny Lasoski, who both had started fairly deep in the field.

By lap ten in heavy lapped traffic, Johnson was out to a huge lead, but Brown was being pressured by Dover for second with Martin still in fourth. Bruce Jr. and Lasoski were now fifth and sixth as they made their way by Evans. On lap twelve Dover made his way by Brown for second and Bruce and Lasoski both made their way by Martin and into the top five. Brown would continue to pressure Dover for the runner-up spot as the caution would fly for a stalled Rusty Potter in turn four on lap sixteen.

On the restart, Bruce Jr. moved from fourth to second as he worked his way past Dover and Brown. Lasoski would also get by Dover for fourth as Bruce Jr. and Brown put up a torrid battle for second. Brown would grab back second on lap nineteen and set his sights on Johnson. Brown got a run on the low side and pulled up beside Johnson in turn two and Johnson slid high allowing Brown a run below him. Johnson would drag race Brown down the backstretch, but Brown would hold off the “Cajun Sensation” in spectacular fashion in his Tim and Gina Doogs Super Clean Maxim. Johnson would finish second in Lanny Row’s The Shop Eagle. Bruce Jr. would run third in the family-owned Maxim with Lasoski fourth in Donnie Cooper’s Maxim. Dover would round out the top five in the Dover Racing Eagle. Rounding out the top ten were Jon Corbin, Martin, Evans, Jesse Giannetto, and Jonathan Cornell.

Earlier in the evening, WOW competitor Josh Fisher was presented with his 2007 National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum 360 National Rookie of the Year award by WOW owner Archie Simpson.

The O’Reilly Auto Parts Winged Outlaw Warriors will next be in action on Saturday May 17th at I-44 Speedway in Lebanon, MO.
